    SIX week hand-building courses

    This is a beginners hand-building course. No previous experience necessary.

    You will learn the different aspects of hand-building including slab building, pinching and coiling before moving on to glazing. We will start a new project every week or you can continue to work on a previous project you have learned on the course. The final week of the course will be glazing your pieces.

    No pressure at all to keep up with others, its just chance to experiment and have fun! 

    Each session is two and a half hours.

  • Make A Vase Workshop

    In this group hand-building workshop you will discover the basics of handling and working with clay, through to making your very own pieces for you to admire in your home or give as gifts.

    We will work together creating some individual pieces in each of the hand building techniques. 

    No pressure at all to keep up with others, its just chance to experiment and have fun!

    You will have the chance to decorate the surface of your projects with coloured slip and mark making to create and experiment with texture. 

    This workshop is two hours.

  • private hand-building sessions

    Bring along your group of friends, family or work colleagues and enjoying making a pottery keepsake.

    Great for birthdays, corporate events and hen parties.

  • Make A Mug Workshop

    Bring along your coffee or tea lover friends.....

    This hand-building workshop gives you chance to design, create and decorate your very own mug

    We will use various hand-building techniques to create a mug in your choice of style. Plenty of templates to choose from or simply go with your own design.

    Mugs can be decorated in a range of our coloured slips then clear glazed after their first firing. 

    Take part in this group hand-building workshop and discover the basics of handling and working with clay, through to making your very own pieces for you to admire in your home or give as gifts.

  • Pottery & Prosecco

    Chance to have some chill time on a Friday evening once a month.

    Bring a friend and make new ones!

    This session is a freestyle session where you decide what you would like to make and I will be there to guide you. Maybe you fancy making a mug, a vase, a serving plate or whatever else takes your fancy. 

    No pressure at all to keep up with others, it’s just chance to experiment and have fun!

    This class is great for beginners who want to experience clay but do not want to commit to weekly sessions.  

    This workshop includes all clay and use of tools, glazes and 2x firings per person. One glass of delicious Non-Alcoholic Prosecco. Feel free to bring your own Prosecco! Glasses provided.

    Additional pieces may be charged at a small fee.

    This workshop is two hours long.

  • Pinch and Coil Pots

    During this guided workshop you will learn the skill of coiling pots with clay. You will have the option to coil several small pots or vases or one larger piece.

    You can decorate the surface of your projects with coloured slip and mark-making.

    No pressure at all to keep up with others, its just chance to experiment and have fun! For the more confident potters, you will have chance to experiment with your own designs.

  • Coiling Vases and Vessels

    During this workshop you will be encouraged to come up with your own design, then coiling your own pieces with clay. You will have the option to coil 2 small pots or vases or one larger piece.

    You can decorate the surface of your projects with coloured slip and mark-making.

    No pressure at all to keep up with others, its just chance to experiment and have fun! For the more confident potters, you will have chance to experiment with your own designs.

  • Sgraffito Slab vessels

    This is a step-by-step, follow along workshop for beginners, or for the more intermediate potter you are encouraged to bring a sketchbook and produce your own design and template.

    You can decorate the surface of your projects with coloured slip and mark-making, also know as sgraffito

    No pressure at all to keep up with others, its just chance to experiment and have fun! For the more confident potters, you will have chance to experiment with your own designs.

  • Soap Dish Design

    Whether you prefer a simple design or something more elaborate, this workshop to make your own soap dish is both fun and informative, giving you the confidence to move on to larger pieces in future workshops

    This is a two hour workshop

  • Sgraffito Mugs and jugs

    Here is the chance to make your very own, tea or coffee mug or jug. Take your pick of a slab built or coiled mug or jug.

    You can decorate the surface of your projects with coloured slip and mark-making, also know as sgraffito

    No pressure at all to keep up with others, its just chance to experiment and have fun! For the more confident potters, you will have chance to experiment with your own designs.

    This is a two and a half hour workshop

  • Garden chimes and hangers

    Here you will make chimes or hangers for your garden. This could be a selection of cups for bells or other cut out objects, such as animals or flowers.

    You can glaze with coloured slips or choose a underglaze you would like our technicians to glaze your pieces in.
