Frequently Asked Questions

Please ensure you have read and understood these FAQs before booking your class. By booking a class you are considered to have read, understood and accepted them. Completion of the booking process and acceptance of our terms and conditions forms your contract with Brick Kiln Pottery.

Where are you based?

We run a traditional pottery studio in rural South Norfolk. Our address is 3 Hollies Farm Barns, Brick Kiln Lane, Morningthorpe, Norwich NR15 2LG

What is included in the class?

Clay, tools, glazes and firing costs are provided for all relevant classes, this is included in the course cost. This is not a limited amount and should you end up making more pieces then there will be extra firing and glazing costs. This will be discussed at the time when applicable.

What should I wear for class?

We recommend that you don't wear your best clothes! If working on the wheel then short sleeves or sleeves that roll up to your elbows are best. We do supply you with an apron. Avoid wearing jewellery and tie up long hair. Long nails can also get in the way!

Do you offer parking?

Yes, we do, however it is limited to 4 cars, therefore, we do ask that you travel together if attending with a friend/s please. Parking only works if potters park close together to allow for others.

Do I pay upfront or on the day?

Payment of the full class fees should be made in advance. We are not able to hold bookings until payment has been received. It is also not possible to attend a course until payment has been received.

Do you offer refunds?

We are sorry that we can’t offer refunds. Should you not be able to attend a class please contact us within a minimum of 14 days of your booking and we may be able to reschedule your booking, amend the attendees or offer a gift voucher in exchange.

What is your window for cancellations?

Class cancellations or reschedules must be made by contacting us at emma@brickkilnpottery.co.uk at least 14 days before your class. Any changes less than 14 days before your class will be discretionary. Should we need to make any amendments to your booking or are not able to run your class for any reason we will let you know with as much advance notice as possible.

When can I collect my ceramics?

Your ceramics will be available for collection 4 weeks after your class. Please book a collection slot here: Book Collection Slot

If fired work is not collected within three months from when you attended class, then we may dispose of it unless agreed otherwise. Should you have missed collection of your pieces, even after this period of time, please contact us as we may still have your work.

What if my pieces are damaged during firing?

Unfortunately, on some rare occasions, your ceramics can get damaged during the firing process. Experienced and trained staff only will handle work and operate the kilns. Brick Kiln Pottery cannot be held responsible for technical failure of equipment or breakages of students work as this is the nature of ceramics
