Introduction To Clay - Handbuilding Workshop (For Two People)

Bring a friend or family member and take part in this group hand-building workshop and discover the basics of handling and working with clay, through to making your very own pieces for you to admire in your home or give as gifts.

We will work together creating some individual pieces in each of the hand building techniques. 

No pressure at all to keep up with others, its just chance to experiment and have fun!

You will have the chance to decorate the surface of your projects with coloured slip and mark making to create and experiment with texture. 

Small groups of up to 10 people means plenty of hands on help and guidance as you create your pieces. This class is great for beginners who want to experience clay but do not want to commit to weekly sessions.  Each session is 2 hours.

Following this introductory session you may like to sign up to our 6 week course. Available on a selection of days and times during the week. 

This workshop includes all clay and use of tools needed to make one vase each. The vase is then biscuit fired, glazed and glazed fired. Tea, coffee, water, biscuits also included in the cost. Additional pieces will be charged at a small fee, if required. Collection will be by appointment in approximately 4 weeks after the class  

£90 for two people including all clay, materials, glazes and firing twice. 

The class will only run if there is enough to make it viable. If this is the case you will be contacted prior to the class and fully refunded.
